It’s been a long long time since you guys have seen me around these parts and an even longer time since my sister Milla has visited! But here I am to do what I do best, which is write posts about items in Milla’s room haha. At least the current post I’m writing is connected to her in someway. You see this nightstand used to be in my room.
But as you know my room has changed quite a bit since last year and my nightstands now live in Milla’s bedroom and with a new look!
The color is a custom color matched from a fabric swatch and it’s beautiful. The two of us hand painted the pair of nightstands a few weeks ago after days of debating on cobalt blue or turquoise. Blue won out. I love it in the new bold color over the subtle gray!
Milla is also the new owner of my teal lamps, which used to live in the hallway for a while. She really hit the jackpot on my compulsive buying and painting projects. The nightstands were painted to match the cobalt blue desk vanity also in her room.
We moved the turquoise cane armchair next to the desk for a colorful vignette and Breeze vastly approved of the new look besides he will follow a chair to any corner. Read more
Hello all! I introduce you to the second post in one week! I’m getting better, right? Sooner or later I’ll be back to at least 4 posts a week (I hope). Today I’m going to share with you some of my favorite bohemian style bedrooms. While I was searching for inspiration to finish up my bedroom, I kept leaning toward the boho chic variety. And I’m now convinced that is the style I prefer, at least in my bedroom. Boho bedrooms are typically very carefree and eclectic and that describes me perfectly.
First up, is this bedroom by Naomi Stein from Design Manifest. If you haven’t seen this bedroom before you have been living under a rock for some time now. In fact, Naomi’s entire home is AMAZING, every room could fit into the theme of this post. She does a great job of mixing modern with vintage and making it bohemian glam. If I can get my paws on a batik dyed bedspread like this I would be ecstatic. And that Marilyn Monroe print is divine. You can purchase it here . I think I may consider buying it. I’ve always wanted a Ms. Monroe print in my home.
This bedroom was designed by Sara Berrenson from All the Pretties. This bedroom is about the same size as mine and I love everything about it especially that headboard and quilt at the foot of bed! I found the bedroom on Pinterest and it lead me to her house tour. Be sure to check it out and the rest of the blog, she has some great stuff on there. She even has a great fabric line on Spoonflower.

I haven’t been to the thrift stores in a few weeks when I usually stop in a three times a week. I guess it was my way of trying to save money and I was sick of thrift stores because all of the shopping we did for our birthday party. I went to the Goodwill on Thursday intending to buy a brass lamp for my bedroom and it is probably a good thing that I didn’t find one since I have too many lamps in the house to begin with. While I didn’t find the lamp I was looking for, I did find this hideous mirror.
…and yes I did buy it! I think even Breeze was perplexed with all the details on it. When I showed it to Milla, her first question was: “Kah, is that fruit?” Sigh, yes Milla it is and pine cones. My intention is to spray paint it a lovely shade of teal. Spray paint can cover all evils. The mirror only set me back $12 so it won’t be a complete waste if I don’t like it.
I have a feeling I’ll love it though. When I convinced myself to purchase it, this is what I envisioned. Can you spot the fruit?

As the title states, I love mason jars, especially the blue Ball Perfect Mason brand. I’ve been looking at mason jar decor lately on Pinterest after purchasing three jars from the thrift store. This is one of my favorite photos. The pink peonies are just so vibrant against the blue tinted jars.
So needless to say my mason jar collection has expanded from three jars to 9. I’ve decided to display 8 jars on my window ledge. Would it be overwhelming to put flowers in each jar in my window?
It’s Friday! And I have a spur of the moment makeover to share with you. I forgot to take a before picture in my haste to get started. The chair pictured has been living in the trunk of our car along with other miscellaneous items for the past few months waiting to be worked on. Of course it didn’t have this pretty fabric on it, but a mustard yellow fabric with an airbrushed design.
Isn’t the chartreuse fabric lovely? We purchased the fabric from a fabric warehouse in Baltimore for $6.50 a yard.Yes we snatched up all 5 yards! This project didn’t even use half a yard, but we have intentions for the rest. I’ve recently discovered the manufacturer of this fabric, which is Schumacher and you know that means $$$. The Konaha Leaf in Chartreuse retails for over $130 per yard, but I found it listed here for $94/yd. Yikes! Also there’s a listing on ebay in the red colorway, 13 yards for $104, if red is your thing I say go for it. Read more
I know I’m late, but have any of you been to Target lately! I was stunned by the selection of new decor they have in stock. I’m talking about some very stylish pieces. I spent about a good hour in Target cramming things into my cart, but I did manage to put a few things back even though it was difficult. Try to hold onto your wallet a little better than I did. I’m going to share with you all the lovely items that now reside in our home.
Isn’t this pink chevron pillow a beauty!? I just knew they would be the perfect accent to Milla’s navy and turquoise bedroom and they’re only $19.99. Hurry, they are going fast and are already sold out online.
You didn’t think I could just leave the turquoise one there on the shelf, now did you? I didn’t purchase the gold lamp shade
because I had no use for it, but it could really liven up a neutral room for $19.99. However, I did leave with two lampshades that were a good fit for the dining room. Read more
