Good morning all you lovely people, I promised to share the completion of the under $100 gray sideboard about a whole week ago! Wow how time flies! I finally got around to polishing the other hardware with Rub N Buff in Gold, which I purchased from Michael’s. That stuff is great! We had a really busy weekend with three hair makeovers and of course Sunday football. Great ending to a busy weekend with a Baltimore Ravens win! Here’s the before picture again if you need a reminder of how it looked:

And here’s the lovely after painted in Wet Pavement by Valspar. It’s definitely our go-to gray until we finish the quart at least. The original finish wasn’t too bad but we wanted the entryway to still appear “open”.

Isn’t it lovely! I’m not really sure what Breeze is doing in this picture, other than trying to be a model. I must say he is working it!

The metallic owl was a spur of the moment purchase from Homegoods and too cute to resist. I took the teal lamps from my bedroom and placed on the sideboard. I think the tall height works better here.

The shades may need a little dressing up. Should we add some grosgrain ribbon or just leave it white?

Here’s what most of that wall is looking like. I purchase that chair from our local Goodwill for a grand total of $5. Should we paint it yellow as well or leave it in the original condition? I think the globe would look really nice against the yellow. Here’s a look at the entire wall:

Yellow would look great on the chair, right? Especially as a complement to our beautiful floral chair. We’re thinking of doing a gallery wall around the TV area too. This post is getting a little picture heavy, but it wouldn’t be complete without more pictures of Breeze!

Beautiful transformation! The sideboard looks amazing! I’d love to see that chair yellow. It’d balance out the beautiful chair on the other side. Great pics! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Vicky thanks for stopping by as always. It’s much appreciated.
Awesome piece! What a cool owl too, I am really into owls lately. Thanks for sharing with my newbie party.
Hahaha! Breeze is a real camera hog, isn’t he?!
I love seeing pets in home pictures – they’re the best home decor
Love the dresser makeover. The teal lamps are the perfect colour and size, and the owl is a fun accessory. I agree, the wood chair would look great in yellow to balance the yellow & grey chair on the other side of the TV cabinet.

Love the transformation and agree that yellow may be perfect….or…..keep the original color with a yellow pillow? Great work and thank you so much for sharing it at Meet Me Monday! Love, Me http://www.youaretalkingtoomuch.com
Yellow pillow that might work. Right now we’re going to keep it in its original state for a while to see how we like it
beautiful job! love the shape and color of the piece.
Thanks very much Tammy for the lovely comment and visiting.
The sideboard looks great in that color. Yes, paint the chair yellow…for sure and Breeze is one handsome boy!

Yes we are Suzy! Yes we are! I could use a break but then I might get lazy! Haha
Oh I love it!! The grey and gold work perfectly and I think you should go and paint that chair yellow – I know you want to, you know you want to – heck, I think Breeze knows you want to so as far as I’m concerned, it’s a done deal!
Breeze is lovely by the way, his poses are ace!! My cat Pablo is exactly the same, I’m sure he comes running as well when he hears the camera case zipper! xx

Pablo and Breeze could be great friends if Breeze wasn’t such a meany around other cats. Looks like yellow is the winner!
Hi Ladies,
Breeze is quite the ham!
I love how the sideboard turned out. And, yes paint the chair yellow! The room is coming together nicely. Keep up the good work
I should get a jump start on painting the chair yellow. I would seriously be doing that right now if I didn’t have a stiff neck from sleep incorrectly. I think all cats are hams. In my Design Sponge at Home book there are several photos with cats just lounging around. I must say they make great props lol.
WOW this is a stunning piece! Really turned out great. Thanks for sharing at this week’s BFF Open House!

you rocked this piece!!
Hey Amy! Aww you’re allergic to cats
Breeze will be so sad. He seems to love people that are allergic to him too lol. Yes the chair has kitty hair because he loves that chair it’s his favorite haha. I bought the chair from the thrift store and reupholstered it in some Thomas Paul fabric. http://designpardeux.com/armchair-makeover/
Thanks for visiting

I love the side board painted, and the turquoise makes it all pop. I especially like how you left the handle area dark. I think this give it a really unique look. Great job. Thanks so much for sharing at Sundays’ Best.

I was on your site for awhile. I had to get off so I could be productive lol! But I’ve subscribed so I won’t miss a thing now. My twin will be willing to try black at some point. I wonder where we can fit it in our apartment.
Found your dresser at Nifty Thrifty Sunday. It’s gorgeous. The lines of the piece itself are lovely, and the paint color is just perfect. And I can’t resist a cute kitty in a photo, either! I have four cats myself, and at least one of them seems to make her way into all of my photos.
Cats love to feel important don’t they! Four cats?! Wow, we wanted to get another get but Breeze wouldn’t allow it, he’s so territorial lol. Thanks for the lovely comments!
